Vanessa Howard has been writing poetry and stories since the age of 12 years old. She joined "The Voice of the Children" workshop where she went on to fine-tune her craft. She was published in several anthologies alongside great writers such as Langston Hughes and Alice Walker. At age 16, "A Screaming Whisper" a collection of her poetry was published by the Holt, Rinehart, and Winston company. Ms. Howard has given many poetry readings and has appeared on the "Soul" TV show (Young People's edition). As Ms. Howard matured she acquired a B.A. in Psychology and has worked in diversified fields such as the U.S. Postal Service, the New York Psychiatric Center, and the New York State Division of Parole. These many varied exposures and experiences add to the rich fabric of her imagination and help to weave the poems and stories she shares.

Finally decided to relax and let somebody else drive. They a good driver once I gave them the chance. Wow. I'm chillin' on the passenger side watchin' the trees and sights, even dozed off a couple times, they drive so smooth , I don't feel the bumps as much.
